It is true, no doubt that a range of ancient mythology derives from a reliable source, such as the event of the flood.
However, I am not sure I agree with the idea that every religion originally began as a religion of God and was then distorted; I have a feeling that this concept is quite common among Muslims (correct me if I am wrong), but personally I see this as wishful thinking.
I would rather say that every religion and faith somehow evolved from the true religion, the religion and concept revealed to the pre and post-early-flood era. I guess both Muslims and Christians would agree somehow about early revelation of this kind.
So, can we state and prove that Jesus is a figure produced by early Hellenist Christians from other religions?
