About those who fall away from their faith at college or uni. I do agree. There is an unfortunate misconception out there that the Bible contradicts modern scientific fact.
It is our job here on this forum to educate people that this in not, in fact the case. But it isn't our job to preach to them about what we think they should believe. I feel that the arguments that abound on this forum about particulars such as "which "day" was the sun created" are detrimental to our mission of spreading the Good News. Much better, in my view, to voice and explain our personal opinions, phrasing them as just that, opinions, and focus on eradicating the belief that modern views cannot be reconciled with Biblical inerrancy. We should rejoice in the fact that although Christians do differ in some respects, our overwhelming message can and should be that God is great, his word is power, and everyone can understand and love it in a way only God in his immensity could conceive.
