DISTURBING QUOTES ABOUT THE CHRISTIAN FAITH...CAN THIS BE TRUE AND I NOT KNOW IT?
Let us begin this serious study with a series of very disturbing quotes. The information presented in these Web Pages is not provided as a form of entertainment. I strongly suggest that you do not continue your study and search for truth in these pages unless you are willing to take responsibility for what you learn.
For example, early Church Father Tertullian (@ 160-220 C.E.), an "ex-Pagan" and Bishop of Carthage, ironically admits the true origins of the Christ story and of all other such god-men by stating in refutation of his critics, "You say we worship the sun; so do you" (Wheless, Forgery in Christianity, p. 147).
Interestingly, a previously strident believer and defender of the faith, Tertullian later renounced Christianity. (Wheless, Forgery in Christianity, p. 147).
Tertullian never renounced the christian faith, he became a montanist christian, a stricter christian, they believed widowed women shouldn't marry, I hope you are aware that there is also a second Tertullian a 4th century bishop of Carthage.
...JOSEPH WHELESS
"The reason why all these narratives are so similar, with a god-man who is crucified and resurrected, who does miracles and has 12 disciples, is that these stories were based on the movements of the sun through the heavens, an astro-theological development that can be found throughout the planet because the sun and the 12 zodiac signs can be observed around the globe. In other words, Jesus Christ and all the others upon whom this character is predicated are personifications of the sun, and the Gospel fable is merely a rehash of a mythological formula (the "Mythos," as mentioned above) revolving around the movements of the sun through the heavens." The logical question arises: Why, if Jesus is a historical character, are there are presently two dates for both Christmas and Easter? This purportedly well-known character, who set the world on fire, has no birthdate whatsoever...
Time and time again I find muslims who chose to utilise this tactic, do you realise your atheist source is basically saying Jesus Christ does not exist?
Do you realise you are contradicting your koran?
I find it a little perplexing why muslims would chose to humuliate and degrade their own beliefs in the process of getting one up on christianity. What have you proved by posting us atheists ridicule of christianity? Do you realise the arguments of atheists would make a greater mockery of your own religion? I am afraid to say this behaviour of blowing your own beliefs to bits to prove a point against the opposition is the mind set of a suicide bomber.
