"THE FATHER IS GREATER THAN I"
John 14:28
Throughout Jesus' earthly ministry he claimed to be subjected to the will of his Father. When speaking to his apostles the night before he was put to death, he said, "You have heard me say to you, I am going away and coming back to you. If you loved me, you would rejoice because I said, I am going to the Father, for my FATHER IS GREATER THAN I." (John 14:28)

If Jesus is God than how can the Father be Greater than Him?
I have researched this and found a very simple solution to this verse.
I will start out with this verse:
John 14:28 - Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is (greater) than I.
Jesus' Father is
Greater than Him because
(HE GOES UNTO THE FATHER)
John 14:12 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and (greater)works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Whosoever Believeth in Jesus will do "
Greater works than Jesus" because
(HE GOES UNTO THE FATHER)
Both of these verses is describing the humanity and limitations of Jesus since The Son became flesh as God incarnate. The Holy Spirit is able to achieve
GREATER accomplishments than that of Jesus when He had walked the Earth, this is because The Holy Spirit will be indwelled within
ALL BELIEVERS who are scattered throughout the entire world. Jesus in His humanity was limited in the sense that He could not be at mor than one place at a time. This occured when Jesus returned
unto the Father.
God Bless!
