Just because they get in a journal doesn't mean they're automatically and completely correct. Those you listed, for instance, haven't made a dent against evolution.
What is accepted as true is not always true.
Of course, but it's certainly a good indication of why Creationism has such little support within scientific circles.
For instance the majority of "scientists" insist it is impossible to change ones sexual orientation from gay to straight. Since I know this to be false I also know the majority opinion is also false. I also know why the APA removed homosexuality from the DSM III and real science had nothing to do with their decision, so don't even try to tell me that science and scientists are without prejudice.
Unfortunately, Appeal to Unverifiable Personal Anecdote != Refutation of Psychological/Social opinion(s).
The early Hebrews. Or haven't you realized that the Bible contains many references to the '4 corners of the Earth'?
And please be aware that those in power may hold the money, but they are not respositories of the truth. Neither is the majority. In fact, all too often if the majority agrees on something, it is false! There was a time, not too long ago, when professionals in the medical field laughed to scorn the idea that handwashing between patients, or even in general, would do anything to halt the spread of disease. There was a time when the majority of scientists believed rotten meat turned into flies and old rags piles up in a corner turned to rats. No matter how many believed this, it didn't make it true.
Yes, appealing to the majority opinion does not make something true. That's not the point. The point is that the majority of scientists object to Creationism because it isn't a viable, evidenced, well-defined theory.
Truth truly is often stranger than fiction, and it behooves one to search it out and not simply accept what the majority say. The majority are often too lazy to check the facts anyway!
I'll keep this in mind.
