You didnt read it closley obviously.
and yes MOST studies were done with capive but not all and in wild and captive both have the same sexual behaviors.
This species of primate is fastinating because it has so many behaviors previously thought to be human only behaviors.
This is a cut and paste from the page itself
"Whereas in most other species sexual behavior is a fairly distinct category, in the bonobo it is part and parcel of social relations--and not just between males and females. Bonobos engage in sex in virtually every partner combination (although such contact among close family members may be suppressed)."
As you can see it says engages in SEX with either partner not just kissing.
Sex is not kissing it is sex and has only one definition and that is the enganging of sexual activity.
The artical also states both sexes (masterbating) two of the same sex together male and female.
The females rub each other genitals and the males perform what is called penis fencing in where they rub thier erect penis's together .
If you ahve ever watched a program of the species on television you would see two males having prenatration sex and its not a dominance thing its thier way of smoothing things over and not fighting.
They also do it for pleasure.
Thay like humans have sex for pleasure as well as reproduction.
This is in both the wild and in captivity.
I havent made trips into the mens locker room but men are always displaying penal envy......males are very insecure creatures.
Fey means fairy folk I suppose its slang for gay?
