Oh well...
Here are some things Feynman didn't say:
1. You only get funding for experiements that are based on the accepted paradigm.
2. If you get results that agree with the accepted paradigm, you are considered correct and quoted. If your results don't agree, you are marginalized and forgotten (this is one of the leading causes of faked results).
3. There is next to no funding for repeats of experiments to check them.
This puts a slightly more realistic spin on his words, I think.
