Re: Allah is one and does not have partner
Abdurrahman wrote:In the name of Allah , most gracious most merciful
Surah 112: Purity of Faith - al Ikhlas
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful!
Say: He is Allah, the one and only God the Eternal, the Absolute He begot none, nor was He begotten and there is none comparable to Him.
This short surah is "equivalent to one third of the Qur'an" according the hadith of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
Ayetul Kursi
“God — There is no diety save Him, the Ever-Living. The Self-Subsistent Fount of all being. Neither slumber overtakes Him, nor sleep. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth. Who is there that could intercede with Him, unless it be by His leave? He knows all that lies open before men and all that is hidden from them, whereas they cannot attain to aught of His knowledge save that which He wills (them to attain). His eternal power overspreads the heavens and the earth, and their upholding wearies Him not. And he alone is truly exalted, tremendous.”
— Qur’an 2:255
As you see definition of the Creator is simple and clear in the Quran.
There are perhaps small differences in the faith of Groups but no one can question onness of Allah in islam .
We believe Allah is All-capable .
The sentence the God can create another god or partner is absurd , because a created being is not god.
Allah is everywhere in other words : Allah does not depend on relative time and space ,that we or all other creatures depend .
Noone can question that either.
Peace
Thank you,
But there is a school of thought in Islam that contends that God is "above the throne" and that God is not everywhere.
To me that is not a small difference, especially as it is a matter of Tawheed, and on its basis one muslim group will label another muslim group as being deviant, innovating, and guilty of Kufr (disbelief).
The Sufis say that God is everywhere, so the Wahabbis say the Sufis are guilty of kufr.
The Wahabbis say that God is above the throne, so the Sufis say the Wahabbis are guilty of kufr.
You and I both know that there are verses in the Qur'an that say God is above the throne, and there are other verses that say God is everywhere.
Unless we are reading different translations.
The mistake is in saying that something is impossible for God to do or Be, as all things are possible with God.
To say otherwise would be to tie the hands of God.
