Hello Snipes!

With your post before the last, you've already proven yourself. Don't try to make someone see. He is too dedicated to his schooling, than the truth. If you have time, could you answer the questions I posted, if not fine...
Brad also does not believe in the Eternity of Hell, but you go follow His teachings Snipe, since your the only one who posseses the Truth, and the rest out there who also have the Holy Spirit and are led by it, and love God with all their hearts are MISLED!
You are blinded by your arrogance snipes! You fail to
see that it is not the Schooling that has revealed the Truth to me, but the FINAL AUTHORITY which is the
SCRIPTURES ALONE!
If the Blind want to lead the blind then they will both fall into the ditch. It is NOT SCHOOLING that proves me correct,
IT IS SCRIPTURES! and if you claim that that I rely on schooling and disregard that I pray for guidance and truth revealed by the Holy Spirit, then you fail to see where Truth stands. The sad part is that I will prove my point with scriptures, but you and the rest will not submit to its Truth which are INSPRED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT.
BradtheImpaler wrote:I think the "whole picture" here involves you bringing up specific verses and then, when it is shown the verse does not say what you need it to say, you appeal to generalities.
How can 1Cor.8:6 be merely a "piece of a puzzle" regarding this issue? Paul distinctly tells us there is only one God (which you claim to believe) Is that just a piece of the puzzle? No? Then WHO does he tell us the "one God" is here?
I also believe in ONE GOD, did I not say that? So I explicitly state that there is ONE GOD however not mentioning or expressing my view of the Godhead, does that mean that I believe that God is One in Number? Your not allowing me to PROVE BY SCRIPTURES that God is not One in Number neither is He the Father. You know that I can disprove you suing Scriptures, however you won’t allow me to, and if not then disprove my scriptural proof!
BradtheImpaler wrote:The specific context of many statements is one in NUMBER...
"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1Tim.2:5)
...There is one mediator (in number) and one God (in number)
"You believe that there is one God. Good! The demons also believe that and shudder" (James.2:19)
..."One God" as opposed to what? As opposed to MANY Gods - clearly the context is one of enumeration.
"So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: we know that an idol is nothing at all in the world and that there is no God but one" (1Cor.8:4)
Again, clearly the context is one of enumeration - there is only one (true God) as opposed to MANY false gods (idols). (Within the next 2 verses we find out WHO that one God is, but you apparently reject Paul's theology)
Really? Lets see what
Paul says using the SAME NUMERICAL ONE among other verses shall we!
- 1 Corinthians 6:16 - What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one{heis}flesh.
- 1 Corinthians 10:17 - For we being many are one{heis]bread, and one{heis}body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
- John 11:52 - And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one{heis} the children of God that were scattered abroad.
- Acts 23:6 - But when Paul perceived that the one{heis}part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.
- Acts 28:25 - And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one{heis}word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,PAUL SPOKE JUST ONE WORD?
- Romans 12:4 - For as we have many members in one{heis}body, and all members have not the same office: and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
- 1 Corinthians 12:13 - For by one{heis}Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one{heis}Spirit. SPIRIT OF TRUTH!
- 1 Corinthians 12:14 - For the body is not one{heis}member, but many.
Corinthians 12:20 - But now are they many members, yet but one body. (THERE ARE THEE MEMBERS OF THE GODHEAD, YET ONE GOD! )
Same word for numerical one is used within all the above verses by PAUL HIMSELF! Who uses the same word ONE to describe ONE GOD, this is the very reason why I want to demostrate plainly with scriptures where your understanding of the Godhead is flawed.
[quote="BradtheImpaler"Again, YOU were the one who brought up the "one verse". Why do you condemn me for trying to examine it?[/quote]
Condemn you? Your won’t let me prove the distinction nor the deity of Christ without going in circles to AVOID the Truth I clearly presented.
BradtheImpaler wrote:From the outset, you have classified yourself as a "spiritual man" and me as a "natural man". You have insinuated that the only way I can attain the 'spiritual knowledge' that you possess is, among other things, to live a "life of purity" - (IOW, you are living a life of purity, I am not, according to you, and you don't even know me) - all because I don't believe the way you do. All I have done is draw attention to the foolishness of some of your comments. You have an inflated view of your own spirituality - that is arrogant.
I never once directed any of spirituality towards myself or any advice to you in general, what I have said applies to everyone including ME! And you claim that I am the one doing the insinuating? Call me what you want Brad, I am not going to make an effort at directly tossing criticism towards you as you have towards me, never mind all that just answer my questions.
I got it from trinitarian authors and sermons? I read an research commentary, and I do not draw conclusion based on that alone. I read and study scriptures in conjunction with bible schooling. I have heard all your arguments before also my friend!LOL!!!!! You didn't get it from Trinitarian authors and sermons, you got it from a RESEARCH COMMENTARY? You and Aineo have cornered the market on "missing the point". I can't believe I even have to explain this to you - you got it from TRINITARIAN SOURCES, okay? You read and studied the scriptures FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTION you got in bible school. You were PROGRAMMED. That is not "revelation".
Re-read my post, I DID NOT rely on research and other mens commentaries ALONE, but personal studies and spiritual guidance. Laugh all you want to, you my friend have been indoctrinated by theological errors and programmed not to accept truth when it is presented clearly point blank!
BradtheImpaler wrote:Irrelevant - what does eternality have to do with number? If 3 divine persons have existed from eternity why can't one? I am not saying there can't be 3 divine persons from eternity, I'm saying that these persons can't equal one God, because each of these persons is distinct (per Trinitarianism) You can't be distinct from YOURSELF and remain ONE SELF - and more than "one self" is more than one human being (if the selves/persons involved are human) and, if the selves/persons involved are deity, that's MORE THAN ONE DEITY. [/i]
Once again Uncreated is a major Factor in Deity. Each of the oneness advocates here share a common root, that is even when the Scriptures(INSPIRED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT) Prove without a shadow of a doubt the Godhead, a sealed heart, closed ears and a lack of love blocks permission. As far as I have seen in the responses towards me, there has been no welcoming attitude but accusations. And a Tree is known by the fruits that it bears, I have done my best to welcome all of you here and to greet you with kindness. Even though I make mistakes and am not a perfect person, I have yet to see the same for you guys.
Love and God Bless!
