ArchivedJehovahs Witnesses are Christians! :: Re: ReplyRe: Reply
I apologise, I only used the term to distinguish between what I saw as different types of Christian - Those who agree with the Trinity and those who don't. I shall refrain from using the term 'trinitarian' from now on. As for your question, I honestly don't know, I also don't know why someone should be a non-Christian for not seeing Christ's deity taught in the Bible. I'm not trying to argue for or against Christ's deity, I just think that both sides have a point, and I don't think Jesus would condemn either side for getting it wrong. Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is unpardonable in the Bible, but there is a certain lenience concerning Jesus, as a word against the Son of Man may be forgiven. I wouldn't advocate a different Gospel to the one taught by Jesus, but the Jehovahs Witnesses use the same Gospel - even if they may have made some translatory errors and derived errors. But please, how does a person such as I, who doesn't want to fall into error, decide on which verses are literal and which verses aren't. I appreciate your time and your effort in discussing this with me, I have learnt a lot. Thank you. |
