ArchivedHebrews 6:4-6 and OSASRight, but there's more than one kind of seed in the parable of the wheat and tares, and that is the root of my question. One seed is the true Gospel. This one is sown by the sower (i.e the Holy Spirit). This seed, when it is received, always brings forth wheat. The other seed is the false gospel. This seed is sown by the enemy (i.e. Satan). This seed, when it is received, always brings forth tares. There is no insinuation in this parable that the seed sown by the sower ever grows into or turns into tares. Therefore to say that one can, at one time, be a wheat (saved person), and then at some time later turn into a tare (an unsaved person), is to read add something into the parable that is not there. |
