Science, Creation & EvolutionSmoking-Gun Evidence of Man-Monkey Kindred: Episode II -TailFirst, a correction. I wasn't attempting to show that humans evolved from cats. My intent was to indicate that humans descended from tailed organisms. Now for the strange part. In a seeming intent to draw a taunting comparison, you bolster my position a little further by mentioning examples of the genetic disease "hypertrichosis." You even show a convincing picture. A Google image search supplies more pictures. Hypertrichosis, along with tails, results from a spontaneous mutation. Lee Strobel didn't need to scientifically debunk Haeckel's sketches. Despite creationist myth (propogated primarily by Jonathan Wells), Haeckel's embryonic sketches haven't been taken seriously for over a century and haven't appeared in any science textbook for just as long. If it weren't for young-Earth creationists, hardly anybody would know about Haeckel's embryonic sketches. Haeckel's sketches include salamender tails, bird beaks, rabbit paws, and turtle shells. Medical observation, even before x-ray machines, summarily revealed it be false. The only similarity embryonic x-ray images have to Haeckel's sketches are tails, and they don't look anything like what Haeckel drew. If you are going to criticize my argument, then criticize my argument and not a barely-related straw man. |
