Homosexual Discussion ForumHomosexuality is a Gift from God*sigh* It truly concerns me that after 3 rounds of communication, a fair consensus is still not reached. There is still no consideration that I haven't "questioned the validity and inerrancy of Scripture" and instead the wording has been sanitized. The precise wording is not the Rule#4 violation; the implication that "I have previously questioned Scripture validity and inerrancy" is categorically untrue, and a Rules Violation. Sad, really, as the truth is staring you in the face. Please, for all of our sakes, read through my posts and show where I have questioned the "validity and inerrancy" of Scripture. I have posed different possible interpretations, but never questioned (a) validity, or (b) inerrancy. I have only questioned (c) human interpretation, and even then I haven't questioned any Creeds or Holy Declarations. While you are doing that, I will address the only decent part of that statement: It seems our hangup is again language. There are "fruits and gifts of the spirit", but there are also lesser gifts. Gift of a child, gift of a talent, gift of a sexuality. Gifts are not rights; they are responsibilities (we seem to agree). Therefore, heterosexuality can be used irresponsibly as polygamy, fornication, and other violations of other persons. I am in no way saying that sexuality is a "gift of the Spirit" (which would imply the Jews do not have sexuality as gift to be used responsibly...something i think they would question ). |
