Crystal wrote:“Just because you have ‘Rev.’ in front of your name does not make you right!” This statement is so very true! Many Christian’s today just play “follow the leader” or the in "personality" without verifying the truth of what they are taught.
I belive you have just upone why many christians make me very uneasy and leery of them.
Perhaps its me but the only thing we have going for us in life is our endless curiosity and drive for the truth.
When one sits back and just accepts what one is taught without question perhaps it sets me ill at ease.
Though if one of the gods themselves came down to teach me I would take that at its face value but so long as it is man doing the teachings I will always listion and then look into what I can see for truth.
Man is a wonderfull creature no doubt but we are not infalable and we do tend to give into that little thing called self gloryfacation (I have no idea how to spell that).
That is spelled t-h-a-t.
Oh, you mean glorification?
I try to use a spell checker with all my posts since spelling has never been one of my strong points.

One did, Jesus Christ! 8)
Well if you wish to look into them you will find the exact same problem with them as we have with homosexuality.
No one knows what causes it genetics is what they say but they cant prove it.
A newer therory is comming out saying its enviromental which is what I think may be the case.
See when we are developing within our mothers our brains in the early stages are very very very easy to hurt.
The Science Channel aired an interesting and informative program a week or so ago the title was: "The Science of Sin". It documented that injury (weather by injury through abuse or chemical imbalance) to the frontal lobe can result in pathological and/or anti-social behavior. One of the experts interviewed on the program was Dean Hamer, Ph.D. (the gay gene guy) who stated that there in no genetic predisposition to such behavior and environment, personality, social mores, and other circumstances are the determining factors. Dr. Hamer has also stated this in one of his books concerning a genetic link to homosexuality.
In all fairness to Dr. Hamer he never did state he found a gay gene; he said he found a genetic marker on the X29 chromosome in 80% of his research universe. However, since his research universe did not include a control group his research has been discounted and he has not been able to duplicate his original findings in subsequent studies, which is also true of other studies conducted by geneticists.
