I am sorry kyas, but it is not merely an interpretation, the Qu'ran says exactly what it says, and it is most definately wrong about the setting of the sun. The traveler may have been the primary theme, but in stating what occures during his travels, the Qu'ran makes clear mistakes. That is the point; God, if He wrote this, would not make those mistakes.
what i meant by interpretation is not the verses in Quran... i was referring to my statement... for me the verse only shows the direction the traveller went...

Kyas's contention that the 'measurement of days' passages talk about 2 different things is also incorrect. In both passages, the writter (supposedly Allah) gives a measurement for humans to humans for our understanding. The passages talk about different events, but measure the same "day", and the Qu'ran clearly contradicts itself.
does it says where?
one earthly day is equals to 1/6 day in pluto.
are you saying that one earthly day is equals to 1/6 day in other planet?
