Regarding your first post. Most of the non-flowering trees, grasses and many other plant phyla are not "paired"
Monerans, virus's, are other examples of living organisms that are NOT paired. There are many more in the biblical context, that don't "mate" in the paired sense, but you would probably debate these as some vicarious link to being paired.
As to your agreeing with naaji, come on now, your original post clearly showed that you interpeted this passage to refer to the creation of life, and not the creation of paired opposites in physics or morality such as matter/antimatter and good/bad. Now that naaji has posted you may say that he makes a point, but the problem is, its a point that skirts the meaning of the passage, and anyone with common sense knows it. The passage refers to life and I have not read any muslim offer any other interpretation of that passage until its pointed out that its inconsistent with truth.
