Christian/Muslim ThreadsThe Quran and Questions About ChristianityIt's seems you base your proof on something that was written a couple of decades after Muhammad's death? Tell me Abdullah, during the time of Muhammad's new found prophethood, how did the people in those days know whether Muhammad was a true prophet or a false prophet? The Qur'an gives no such criteria as to how one can determine if he is a true prophet or not because the Qur'an didn't exist during his time. Aineo has provided a very good example of a false prophet using what you call "common sense". Muhammand and Joseph Smith were very much the same on how they got to be a prophet. If you 'use common sense" as you do, then you have to believe in Joseph Smith because according to your standard, he's a true prophet. Again, unless you can provide passages from the Qur'an and/or Hadiths how one (in the days of Muhammad) can determine if he was a true prophet or not, you are basically playing russian roulette with a loaded gun. |
