ArchivedCatholicismIt's nothing like that, so it seems you don't understand the concept. It's a simple concept. exactly. Dead people are in hell or are stuck in purgatory, No one in Heave is "dead". We are living spirits. Jesus Christ freed those enslaved by death in this period of three days when His body layed in the tomb. It's believed that even the prophets themselves were in Sheol at that time. Mary and all those in Heaven are more capable of doing things than us on earth. Sure Mary would pay more attention to major prayers before minor ones, but she HEARs our prayers, even if they are all at once, she does hear them and she knows who's praying for her love and intercessions. That's a very valid point. She, nor ANY Christian, is "dead". Lets' not forget that Protestants have some beliefs that aren't so defined in scriptures, like a pre-Trib rapture. That was never in Christianity for 1800 years. I'm not saying it's not true, because I really don't know. You shouldn't be so fast to condemn this belief about the saints, because it seems you just don't understand it. You keep bringing up stuff about necromancy...that's so far off the mark. It's worth mentioning, because this thread doesn't really have a defiend topic, that because of visions of the Virgin Mary, literally millions of people have converted to Christianity. Mary is a very active force in God's continuing will to bring souls to Him. Degenerating Mary to the status of an ordinary Jewish maid is kinda of a mistake, I believe. |
