INTERVIEW WITH ILKER CINAR, FORMER PASTOR
You were a senior pastor, and in the midst of the public discussion around missonary activities you revert back to Islam. Why and how?
I was the founder and pastor of Tarsus International Protestant Church. I was educated on Christian theology and missionary activities for more than 10 years. I founded the Church in 2002 and we started to work with foreign missionaries to Christianise Muslims.
As you know it is said that Evangelic branch of Protestans are active to spark the events towards doomsday and occupation of Iraq is related to this. Bush is also an Evangelic. Were you too?
Yes we were Evangelic. We were protestants, but of the same sect as Bush. We now escaped slavery to Bush. Evangelic means “glad tidings,” Bush works hard to propagate his bloody tidings to Islamic lands.
Is Great Middle East Project another Evangelic approach?
True indeed. Evangelics are taking stern stance to fulfill the promise to capture “Bible Land.” They have made secret long-term plans and these plans are put into practice.
....
Is Bush a missionary?
Yes, he is a good missionary. He thinks he is soldier of God. He started the armageddon which evangelics were expecting. Missionaries themselves are crusade soldiers. While Bush has real weapons, missionaries will say Bible is their weapon.
.....
You were threatened to death. Who were they?
A German missionary living in Eastern Turkey threatened to kill me. I also keep receiving messages that quote 11th verse of 6th chapter of Romans in the Bible. It writes “you will die” there.
....
You are writing a book?
I’m writing a book on intriques in the missionary circles. I will explain “Why a pastor became Muslim.” I will decipher missionary activities. Inshallah billions of dollars will be blown up.
In what way did you cooperate with missionaries? What did they want you to do?
They provided funding to us. Our organisator was Jim McDonald. He ordered us to work on Alewites and Kurds. They know that they cannot break Turkey by force. They want the minorities to revolt. When I refused these plans, they reacted negatively.
What were you telling to Turkish People? What were your methods?
Our method was to refute Islam. We were speaking academic to academic people and approaching the man on the street with his language. It was a machiavelist approach. We were acting as if full of love and giving financial aid to people. We were gaining their trust and pushing them into vacuum. We were saying “Look, Europe is Christian and modern. But you are Muslim and low.”
Was this approach successful?
I tell, we were educated to this effect. I was one of the top 10 people educated in Turkey for this purpose. We take comparative Islam courses. We were comparing Quran with Bible and telling that Qur’an is fake. We said Muhammad was instructed by the heretic Bahira.
We used to portray Muslims as bigots. Muslims are now portrayed as terrorists. Who did that? Missionaries and western politics did that hand in hand.
...
You are now back to Islam.
Alhamdulillah. I had started to question Christianity. Islam does not accept hypocrisy. Allah permitted and I became Muslim again. I now see Christianity as polytheism.
What are the differences between church and mosque?
I dont see the spiritual atmosphere in the church as in a mosque. There is role-playing in the church. Mosque is really the house of Allah, I find peace in there. In church, hypocrisy rules. I spent a great deal of my life in church. Missionaries are like genunine Hollywood actors. A missionay conceals its real intention and tells you such lies that you cannot keep your tears.
What about those people you made Christian and preached in the Church?
I announce Christiand congregation these facts. Some of them came back to Islam, including my assistant pastor. My wife and my daughter reverted back to Islam as well.
You are no more a pastor. You losed your job and salary. Did you earn much?
Yes, everyone knows, I had a luxury life. But now I’m a Muslim. I didnt reckon my losses in the process. Now, my heart is rich.
Is it true that missionaries give money to converts?
Yes, missionaries has lots of funding. When they come here, they do not live like Jesus. Jesus was poor. They live in villas with pools. They abhore Turks. They think Turks are dirty and they take medication as anticeptics etc.
In social activities some missionaries put money in the Bible they deliever. But they usually gain trust of people first and then provide financial support.
INTERVIW WITH SINAN YORULMAZ, DEPUTY TO FORMER PASTOR ILKER CINAR
...
Is there a major reason that affected your decision to come back to Islam?
We saw that Christianity was used as a tool of political plans on Turkey. Foreigners wanted us to work on Alewites and Kurds. American consulate were frequently asking “Is there and any obstacles before your activities.” They used to send directives such that “Tell Christianity to Alewites and Kurds.” This is in fact a decision of World Churches Organisation to work on these particular poeple. They also wanted us to work on people whose national sentiments are weak.
So was that the major reason for your decision?
That’s the first reason. We were in such a situation that as if we were no more Turks. We were in a way asked to deny our nationality and work against Turkey.
What more?
They sent directives to pray for American soldiers in Iraqi occupation. Why would I pray for American soldiers?
What is the difference between Imams and Priests?
They are too much different in faith. Christians do not think Allah is God and they say our prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is a liar. A Muslim on the other hand says Christian God and Muslim God is same. Christians say “No, Allah is a devil.” Imams are more benevolent and more reliable. Priests smile to your face but in their headquarters they say Muhammad is a liar and Allah is a devil.
....
Are there any people reverting back to Islam after you?
Yes, there are 6 more besides us. They thank us. They say “Thanks to God that we are getting out of this.” We also get phone calls from other Christians in Turkey. They say that it is good that they learned these plans. We are trying to reach Christian converts in our region. There are about 50 of them.
