Science, Creation & EvolutionDo all have faith?Let's say a scientist conducts an experiment and expects a certain result, and does not end up getting the result he wanted. If he knew before hand that he would not get the result he was experimenting for, then he wouldn't have experimented in the first place. Hence, he took a step of faith. Now, you want to say it is trust in accumulated knowledge, then I can say my faith in God is a trust in accumulated knowledge also, from the simple fact that as a human being I know things such as watches and computers do not just appear, but are created. So from "accumulated knowledge" I can have a scientific reason to believe in God, since things of nature have complex designs. |
