ArchivedSalvation to the Dying :: Re: Salvation to the DyingSomeone had asked a similar question to me earlier. God has a way of Glorifying Himself and Christ both through the suffering of others to open the eyes of the spiritually blind. I also believe that when someone looks upon a person born blind, disabled or miserable in their maimed condition, this in turn brings out the compassion and concern of those that look upon the individual suffering with such an infirmity. When I look upon a person in a wheelchair and crippled, it brings out the love and concern from within my heart and it manifests itself. The Tragedy of 911 brought many together in prayer through that horrendous time of suffering, likewise God may choose not to heal an individual so that people can bond together in support and love, and most importantly, in prayer. Does the suffering of your friend bring out the compassion and concern from within you? Suffering is but a passing moment when compared to ALL OF ETERNITY. Your colleague can rest assured that his suffering will pass away, and that peace and comfort will abide with him/her forever, the cost? FREE, by the Blood of Christ! As I have demonstrated that God can bring about suffering in the individual to bring that person to Salvation, since your colleague is near death, God may very well be using this as an opportunity to have him/her to accept Christ into their heart before it is too late. Didn't the thief on the Cross also "SUFFER"? and yet, salvation was given unto him at that moment, think about this my friend. Many of those who face the "Death Penalty" are sometimes drawn to God in repentance, God moves in mysterious ways and it is His will that none should perish, but that all come to repentance. P.S. Your quote can go a long way! God Bless! |
