This is my opinion on the matter after spending deligent time in studying all the major hadeeth on the topic from Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Thirmidhi, Mishatul-Masabih, and RiyadhusSalaheen which took me three years to completely read.
The Dajjal is symbolic for a nation represented by a type of man.
It was said in a hadeeth that the Dajjal will never be able to enter Madina and Makkah, but the Prophet in a vission according to hadeeth saw the Dajjal making Tawaf arround the Kabah on the shoulders of two men and Jesus was also making Tawaf around the Kabah on the shoulders of two men.
Is this a contradiction ? If you take it literally yes it is. Being that Jesus is symbolic ie a nation as a man representing a nation the Dajjal is the same.
Our prophet is said to have said in hadeeth that there will be many Dajjals that we will encounter in Jihad which were the Minor Dajjals but the last Dajjal would be the Major and most dangerous out of all of them.
History has shown that Muslims encountered many Dajjals such as Khan, Napolian, and the Crusaders whom attacked muslims, Christians, and Jews alike. We were the ones that defeated these nations that these men led bi'idhnillah
The Muslims under the leadership of the Khalifah conquered the enemies of Christians, Jews and Muslims. Such individuals and reformers like Salahudin whom by the power of Allah crushed the Crusaders in an inevitable comback from being crippled by the crusaders by their first wave of attacks.
As you know our prophet discribed al-Masih AdDajjal as being fat, blind in the right eye which swells like a protruding grape, he/it will present in his/its right hand that which will look like paradise but it will be hell fire for the believers/muslims and in his left had he/it will present that which will look like hell fire but it will be Paradise for the Believers/Muslims.
These discriptions are symbolic.

Aburaees, you responded to the newseed here, but I will like to comment on this though. That verse in arabic says "arrusul" meaning "The Messengers denoting "All the messengers".
You are right one thing though that verse does not apply to all prophets it applies to all messengers. not all prophets where messengers. Jesus was a messenger so it applies to him.
