Wow, great posts guys!
Ok, first off, I'll start with Wigginsmum...
To answer the first question, yes, that is exactly how I would define my being a Christian. If Jesus Christ told me to give up psionics, definitely I would give it up. If it conflicts with what God's plan is, then I don't need to be doing it. The magick I am referring to is that of spirit conjuring, divination, and the like... In my view, psionics relies on your own power to create change, so yes, that does fit into Crowley's definition. But the way I'm seeing it is different. My religion prohibits us from things such as Ouija Boards, divination, Tarot Cards... you have the general gist of it.
Now to Bornagainpagan...
When I say I am a Christian, I am saying that I have accepted Jesus as my Saviour and Lord. And am trying to live my life fashioned after His life. I don't believe however, that psionics is "incompatible" with the Christian religion. Or any other religion for that matter. As for scripture, that's my weakness, I don't know too much, all I'm offering is my views on this topic. IF you could provide any scripture to it's not being compatible with Christianity, please post it here, it might be interesting as well as illuminating.
Mark...
I'm going to need some more proof on your part before I can have an intelligible response to your statement, please elaborate.
Wow, this discussion is getting good! Thanks everyone for posting here, you've opened my mind up to new possibilities and ideas.
