ArchivedTattoosRoknrol, those who appeal to the OT law to prohibit tatoos and other neutral activities deny the truth of the gospel and what is taught in the NT. Murder, sexual immorality, stealing, and etc. are sins. Eating unclean foods, and other things that violated the OT law are not. Now the question becomes what is the purpose of the tatoo? If it is to glorify a pagan god or promote immorality then it is a sin, if getting a tatoo is simply following a fad like pierced ears, fashion, and etc. then it is not a sin. The fact is even eating can be sinful if it results in obesity, which often leads to diseases that harm our bodies. I was commenting on Islamic terrorists and what the Qur'an teaches and the Qur'an teaches violence against those who reject Islam. |
