Religious Cults & False Prophets~ Discussions and DebatesModalism: Heresy Or Catholic Persecution of Truth?Quite to the contrary, scripture has proven the things I've spoke time and time again. They surely testify of the truth, but you don't. Fine, since you have such a big problem keeping your word, I will. But know this, that since you have not kept your word. Your word means nothing to me anymore. For we had agreed to not debate the trinity anymore, but you refuse to stay true to your word. With that being said, I'm not sidestepping your question. I was speaking of your opinion and not my own. Do you believe that Christ is God? IF the answer is yes, then who was He praying to? Was He praying to God? If your answer is yes, then in your logic, God is praying to God. That is not sidestepping, I'm rebutting, using your belief. I do compare them to roles and/or manifestations which would be a more suitable word. Who was asking if the cup can be removed? Was that not God (the Son) asking? Who was He asking? Was He not asking God? If we believe that Yahshua is God, then who does God pray to? I will use your logic with scripture. As you believe they clearly show separate persons by making distinctions between them. Let's see how your logic works with scripture as a whole. Okay, using your logic let's look at other scriptures. 2 Corinthians 11:31 - The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not. He calls the Father God and also calls Him the God of Christ. So is he saying the God of God. Your logic is in error. The God and Father. Ephesians 1:3 - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Ephesians 4:6 - One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Now here we see scripture calling The Father the One God who is above all. There is only One God right? Well, He's called the Father here. Hosea 13:4 - Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me. Isaiah 43:11 - I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. God says there shall be no god but Me (singular). And there is no saviour beside him (not us). If there is none beside him, how do you suppose we place two other persons beside him? 2 Thessalonians 1:12 - That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Timothy 2:5 - For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; These two scripture above show that there is One God and it makes a distinction b/w that God and Christ. So going off of your logic, that would make God and Christ separate. Since you believe that the distinctions mean they are not the same person. Hey, this made a distinction b/w God and Christ. So are they no longer the same due to distinctions? Is Christ still God even though there is a distinction made b/w the two? If your answer is yes, then you show with your own mouth that distinction does not denote separate persons. Therefore since no scripture calls Him three people, your belief is completely unbiblical. Titus 2:13 - Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Now this calls God our Saviour Christ. Is this a contradiction? According to your interpretation, since there is a distinction b/w Christ and God, they would be separate gods, which is false. Your logic as much error in it. Notice Hosea and Is above state there is no saviour beside me. This verse calls Christ God and Saviour. Other verses call the Father God. So which one is the Saviour, and God with no one beside Him (singular and not us)? Remember they have made distinctions between the two. So they are separate person, according to your theology. So which one is the True? Look at all of the errors in your doctrine and logic Omega. You claim you see, but you don't. Now that you have my response, I'll be waiting for yours. Hopefully, you will address what I've said instead of running of to some other comments as you usually do. If you don't answer anything else, can you answer these two simple yes or no questions (feel free to elaborate if necessary, but it should possess a yes or no in them, for my understanding): Which God came in the flesh? Is there another God beside that One? For those who have not understood the post. I am simply applying Omega's logic (not my own) to other verses and showing how erroneous it is when held in light of all scripture and not a few given a meaning they don't possess. One last example of how your logic in attempting to prove me wrong is without understanding. Matthew 19:17 - And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou By your logic, this would mean that Christ isn't God. Or is He saying why are you calling me (GOd) good? There is none good but God. With Love, |
