ArchivedJesus said to love all -- why its not a choice :: Re: ReplyRe: Reply You replied: Well that might seem to make YOU more compassionate, but what does that make your god? Why would this woman have to be in the dilemmna in the first place? It doesn't explain why would a supposingly loving creator demand a homosexual or anyone else for that matter, choose between enduring something horrible (hell) or enduring something less horrible, but horrible nonetheless (celibacy). My problem is that it is the god of Christianiy/Judaism/Islam, who would rather see someone vomit during sex, or flagellate himself, or whatever, than to endure a warm loving pleasurable, and harmless relations with a person he/she truly desires...and if they quite understandably refuse or fail to do so he torments them for all eternity. And why?: for what I can only see as petty, selfish, egomaniakal, power-mad, tyranical, reasons. The Ultimate Evil, the way I see it. |
