What you said is exactly right. As 1 Corinthians 14:33 says: "God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints."
As for "truth". I like to to look at the writing of the famous philosopher Descarte who came to the conclusion- "I think, therefore I am."
This says to me that the beginning of truth is found in my own existence. God also said something very similar to Descarte in Exodus 3:14 when He said "I AM THAT I AM". When asked by Moses, who to tell the children of Israel sent Moses to them. God said for Moses to tell them: "I AM hath sent me unto you."
God seems to make it very clear that He wants us to identify with Him. Therefore I would say that the very heart of any truth is found in relationships. Without relationships I would agree that there really is no truth.
