Quran and Bible debateAdditional rules for Muslims :: response to prophetresponse to prophet ok prophet - this is what it says: 009.004 (But the treaties are) not dissolved with those Pagans with whom ye have entered into alliance and who have not subsequently failed you in aught, nor aided any one against you. So fulfil your engagements with them to the end of their term. 009.005 But when the forbidden months are past [when the 'treaties' expire} then fight and slay the Pagans ''''wherever'''' ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war. 009. 006 If one amongst the Pagans ask thee for asylum, grant it to him, so that he may hear the word of Allah; and then escort him to where he can be secure. That is because they are men without knowledge. And what if I ALREADY have a Lord that I worship? Who is Muhammad that I should be forced to bow to God the way he demands? especially AFTER taking my homeland captive? {Where is the love and peace in that? Like it or not - that command violates ALL international humanitarian laws. As for this 'translation' - 008.067 It is not fitting for a prophet that he should have prisoners of war [slay them] until he hath thoroughly subdued the land. It is correct From the Website for the Koran: http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/ 008.067 YUSUFALI: It is not fitting for a prophet that he should have prisoners of war until he hath thoroughly subdued the land. Ye look for the temporal goods of this world; but Allah looketh to the Hereafter: And Allah is Exalted in might, Wise. PICKTHAL: It is not for any prophet to have captives until he hath made slaughter in the land. Ye desire the lure of this world and Allah desireth for you the Hereafter, and Allah is Mighty, Wise. SHAKIR: It is not fit for a prophet that he should take captives unless he has fought and triumphed in the land; you desire the frail goods of this world, while Allah desires for you the hereafter; and Allah is Mighty, Wise. Those 3 translations ALL say the same exact thing - and are not only approved by Islamic scholars....but are widely used. There are lots of verses in the Koran that preach war: Jam 3:11 Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? No - it is impossible. Your Muhammad forgot to mention Palestine. But the Lord of the Bible did not - and He proves His word with it. But first - from the Book that Moses delivered: Deu 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet [Jesus] from among their brethren, like unto thee, [Moses] and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. Deu 18:19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. Deu 18:20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. Deu 18:21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? Deu 18:22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. And here is the prophecy concerning Palestine for end times [not ancient times] Exd 15:14 The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina. {Song of Moses - the saints 'sing' this song} Rev 15:3 Isa 14:31 Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times. Isa 45:21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? And here is Palestine - for ALL to see. Muhammad is not a true prophet - nor a wise prophet. Had he been - he would have mentioned Palestine for his own people. Palestine was right there - the whole time - in the Bible. Amo 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret [first] unto his servants the prophets. 2Pe 1:19 We have a more sure Word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed. {Because eternal life is at stake] And this is the song of the Lamb: Mar 13:14 When ye shall see the abomination of desolation {without life - "He that hath the Son hath life; he that hath not the Son of God hath not life" - Palestine denies the Son] spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not The name Israel came from God - not men} Gen 35:10 Mat 24:21 Then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. The Bible proves itself with prophecies - prophecies where the whole world is forced to witness them - because they are so great. Only the True Creator can do such a thing. The Koran teaches BRUTAL violence. No Muslim has the right to FORCE me into bowing to a god that I don't believe in - nor do they have the right to kill me - because the New Testament robs them of that right. There is an appointed time for the Judgment - and God is the Judge - not men. God is the Life Giver - therefore ONLY He has the right to take it. As for playing 'word games' with what the Koran says - the words say what they say. No one person is better than the next: Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Hbr 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. |
