We are to stay ready
And this is the point of the forum, to spurn each other to a deeper walk with the Lord and to stay ready and not to be fooled by the deceiver of the bretheren. We are to be the wise virgins who wait for the bridegroom who is delayed to return, so they do not run out of oil, they go and buy more so they have their lamps lit when He returns. Perhaps the "two grinding...two on the rooftop" refers to those of faith, that some are ready and the others were not. As I read the Word, it is often that way, one day I may see one part of the jewel of the Word sparkling, and the next day on even the same passage, I see more gleams, in other directions. Is there more than one godly interpretation? I have often found deeper meanings but not contradictory ones.
Right now I have been gaining more insights than before in the Word, its really been a fire inside of me. And I know that the evil and wickedness has been increasing in the world, but the Lord has also promised that His Grace is always greater. Whereas the enemy comes in like a flood the Lord lifts up His standard. So we have a river of life coming out of us.
To each of us whether we are raptured or meet the Lord by our mortal bodies wearing out and dying, we meet the Lord. Either way we should be ready. And if we are that brimming over with thoughts of Him, we can make a differnce and let God's light shine on whosoever will listen.
Of the two times a person could be living, during the life of Jesus' earthly mission or during the time of His second coming, which could be better? We are privileged but it comes with responsiblity.
There is much we test in each other to maintain sound doctrine. And so we should because it is easy to get drawn of the path by many side roads. Which was the point time and time again in "Pilgrim's Progress". Great old book.
It is a great blessing to discuss the truth of the Bible and of our most blessed Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
