ArchivedIs it a sin to love/accept someone whos gay?It is not a sin to be proud of your child's accomplishments. However, if you are asking if it is a sin to be proud of a gay childs advancement of homosexuality as a viable way of life then the answer is yes. No, if the anti-gay messages/preaching/prejudices/people are promoting physical violence or discrimination aimed at your child. This is a loaded question that cannot be answered with a simple yes or no. Forcing a child into a program that does not include the parents as active participants can be and usually is counter productive since home environment is one of the reasons children develope a gay orientation. Since having a gay orientation is not a sin this is another loaded question that cannot be answered with a simple yes or no. Gen, Lev, Rom, 1 Tim, 1 Cor, and etc. do not label people an abomination. Leviticus labels overt behavior an abomination and Romans calls gay behavior "unnatural" for mankind. It is a sin for Christian parents to avoid lovingly teaching their children God's truth. Yes and no. Yes, if the homosexual person is advocating full acceptance of homosexuality as acceptable to God; no if the homosexual person is seeking God's truth. |
