This is what you call knows more about Islam?
Who said anything regarding Islam?
We are discussing the Koran….remember…?
You do understand the difference…don’t you…?
You can't interpret the verses from other people's Holy book with your own will.
Who ever said our interpretation was of our “own will”…?
Dear Christians, why can't we discuss things smart way? more educated way and academically?
Done.
Before you talk about verses in Al-Qur'an, learn more about things behind them, and try to look Al-Qur'an as over-all body. See the main concept.
Done.
You can't just pick one verse and make your own conclusion. This is what we call "childish debater". Muslims will laugh at you.
You mean like you just did with 61.6….?
Apple Pie didn't even show us the complete verses. why?
Wrong.
We showed the entire Arabic of the ayah in question.
Since you can’t read Arabic; nor do you even attempt to understand it…you merely glossed over the lower half of the post…
Not very honest.
I debate you with my arguments, and you debate me with your reasonable arguments.
Please tell us exactly how cutting-and-pasting in others’ material is debating…?
I will show you the complete verse.
The translation of surah 4:171
SHAKIR: O followers of the Book! do not exceed the limits in your religion, and do not speak (lies) against Allah, but (speak) the truth; the Messiah, Isa son of Marium is only a messenger of Allah and His Word which He communicated to Marium and a spirit from Him; believe therefore in Allah and His messengers, and say not, Three. Desist, it is better for you; Allah is only one Allah; far be It from His glory that He should have a son, whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His, and Allah is sufficient for a Protector
Now….please bring forth the mother-tongue (Arabic) that it was originally written in…
Or….is the popular English rendering going to be enough for you to base your eternal salvation upon…?
Regardless you are Christians or Muslims, everybody can read the meaning of the verse.
You have proven otherwise with your total disrespect for the Arabic.
First of all, You'll be claimed as "exceed the limits in your religion" and "against Allah" if you proclaim things about son of god. So, who wants agains my own ALLAH?
Can you please show us which Arabic words you are referring to….?
Do you even know?
Second, you can clearly read: The Messiah Jesus, son of Mary, was a messenger of Allah.
Again…where is the Arabic to back up your position…?
Son of Mary is not son of god.
Wrong.
Where is the Arabic for your assertion…?
The Messenger of ALLAH is not son of Allah.
Wrong again.
Where is the Arabic for your assertion…?
Third, we are prohibited to say that ALLAH is one of THREE. Then there is no way term "son of God" used by Muslims.
Wrong yet again.
4.171 amply demonstrates the divinity of Jesus.
Further it states that He is the son of God.
Further still it tells us that the “one allah” is triune after all…..just as copied by the authors of your book of faith…
Fourth, read this carefully "far be It from His glory that He should have a son" The verse talk it-self against the term "son of god".
Where is the Arabic for your assertion…?
Oh that’s right…..Arabic is an unwanted artifact from your book of faith…
Now about "WORD" as Apple Pie claim.
This is the explaination of Maulana Muhammad Ali.
Kalimah, or word, is here equivalent to prophecy, in which sense the word is frequently used in the Holy Qur’ån. Jesus is called a prophecy because he was born in accordance with a prophecy from Allåh, just as in a saying the Holy Prophet speaks of himself as “the prayer of my father Abraham”, the significance being that he appeared in fulfilment of Abraham’s prayer.
You would do well to reference your word-smithed plagiarism, in the future.
You can do better than to plagiarize others web material from here:
http://muslim.sh/text/hq/comm/mali/4/c4s23.shtml
وَكَلِمَتُهُ is used only this once in the entire Koran, and specifically refers to Jesus Christ as being the Word of God (the god “allah” in the case of your book of faith).
This is inescapable…
About "SPIRIT" (RUH)
Rauh and ruh both mean mercy of ALLAH, according to Az (LL under rauh), this being the proper significance of the word in the passage under discussion. RUH also signifies inspiration or Divine revelation If this significance is adopted, it would be an explanation of what is said in the foregoing words, i.e. His prophecy which He communicated to Mary. The passage would thus mean that the advent of Jesus was in accordance with a prophecy and an inspiration from the Divine Being.
More unreferenced “googled” plagiarism from here...
http://muslim.sh/text/hq/comm/mali/4/c4s23.shtml
َرُوحٌ refers to the Spirit of God (again the god “allah” in the Koran). This is clearly an inherent part of God, as indicated by the copulative conjunctions “wa” & “fa”…
There can be no doubt…
Apple Pie talks about MESSIAH. Is it necessary related to son of god? it is debateable. I can debate you also about this later.
Pleasure...
Ok. I will delay other thing that Apple Pie send to this forum.
I want to read his/her response with his/her solid arguments about this verse 4:171.
Waiting.
Salaam
