Those in Christ both the living and the physically dead are saints. It is sheer arrogance of men to think they can determine who is or is not worthy of entrance into God's heaven, especially since Jesus promised that those who do the will of the Father and endure to the end will be saved without reference to sin.
"saints" also refers to a very special people in hiostory who have lived exemplary and pure lives. I was making a point, but if you insist on making this more of an issue that it should be that's not good policy.
Like all Catholics you accept as God's truth the philosophies of men that deny God's truth. Jesus told woman who anointed His feet:
Luke 7:50
50 And He said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace." NAS
I've shown you verses already that are supportive of purgatory, so you don't believe them. No surprise, you so anti Catholic. But that's evidence that's good for me and many others.
Never did I make any reference that purgatory implies we're not saved by faith. Reread the thread again, carefully. I know I explained it sufficiently but it looks like y'all don't understand purgatory.

Zechariah concerns how God refines us in this life, not the next. Luke 11:47f is the explanation of the preceding parable and has nothing to do with life after death. Matthew 5:26 is answered with Colossians 2:13-14.
Not all of us are fully refined in this life. Purgatory is the place where the job is finished. Make sense?
You've drawn your own conclusions with Matthew 5:26.
Good point, Believer. this is not hard to understand. It doesn't contradict the Christian message. It supplements it, infact.
Believer wrote:Anyways, what do you think happens to the many people who have just never heard of Jesus? Or have an incomplete idea of the Christian Jesus because of a lack of missionary outreach? Or overemotional people who don't think and commit suide? There's no reincarnation or anything like that. They go somewhere afterlife.
A still want some answers for you guys. Where do these people go?
