Science, Creation & EvolutionI believe in evolution!Aineo quotes: That quote alone is littered with naive 'folk' wisdom and errors. Let's take a look: This is an absolutely false statement. It can easily be seen as such by doing a simple literature search. IN actual fact, it is in the introns and other noncoding and intergenic DNA that the % similarity "falls" to around 95%. In addition, it is not merely the similarity that indicates, it is the patterns of shared unique mutations. That cannot be 'explained' by design, for if it is design, it was designed to appear as though the patterns formed via descent. A couple examples: One from 1988 One from 1992 One from 2003 Half true. Only half of that number would pertain to each lineage. In addition, many mutations involve hundreds or thousands of nucleotides (indels), and so the number does NOT represent individual mutation events. This guy is a geologist, right? That helps explain these errors, Phd. or no... And? There are a few chromosomal rearrangements that have been identified, and I'd bet this geologist would be surprised to learn that gene order and number can differ even between individual humans... Great source of info... |
