Brother Aineo
You are missing the point in the law of sin. It is a spiritual law and it exist in your flesh as well as in the world. It is the dominion of Satan and through it he controls all individuals that do not have the Holy Spirit and far to many of those who do.
Your reference to me taking a verse out of context shows your "tradition" background is still present. Being as we start off as products of the teaching of others we either have it or have escaped from it. It is a revelation that all will get in time and to not have yet received it is not an insult but it is a liability. There was a time when I did not yet have it and it is my hope that others do not have to go through what I did to get it.
If you learn the process of the law for determining truth as given to Moses and apply it to the scriptures as spoken of in Isa. 28: 9-13 you will learn the mysteries that Paul spoke of. Both Paul and Jesus said repeatedly how every truth is established in the mouth of two or three witnesses. Now God spoke through the Apostles and the Holy Prophets and they are our witnesses and when you line up what two or three of them say in agreement with each other then you may establish doctrine by it. Many will say that you can make the Bible say anything you want that way but that is not so. It is a law that any man (voice spoken in a verse) that is aware of a sin must speak and reveal it. (Lev.5:1) In other words you cannot leave any verse out that comes against what you are trying to prove. I can tell you from experience that this will be one of the hardest things for you to accomplish as it is our natural tendency to apply our study habits that have worked to obtain secular knowledge to the scriptures. You can do that but the knowledge gleaned from that method will never get you past the basic milk of the word. Learning to do as I have mentioned above is what Paul refereed to in 1st.Corr 2:13 as comparing spiritual things with spiritual. If you do it the rewards spoken for doing just this can be found in Prov.25:2
As far as Ro.8 saying there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus is true but who can say they are in Christ Jesus? There is a big difference between Him in us and us in Him. When Christ came into us we were given the power to become a son of God yet we start off as mere children even though we are heirs unto all things. Consider the prodigal son, he had a brother but the prodigal son is the one who got to wear the ring. The ring symbolizes power and that is what Jesus said he would give to those who overcame in Re.2:28. Being in Christ is being as Christ and who amongst us can make that claim. A word of caution...... to be as Christ is to be without sin and amongst other things that means not to miss the mark..in anything. Only the Apostles have come close to that and they are an example of a ministry that is soon to come on earth otherwise known as the two witnesses of Revelations.
When did Satan rebel? Jesus said that he was evil from the beginning and the beginning means just that and not some time after he was created. God said he sent an evil spirit to trouble Saul and that He created evil. Sorry to rain on anyones parade but God uses evil to accomplish good throughout the Bible. The crucifixion is but one example.
It sounds as if you are part of the Lucifer is Satan crowd yet nothing could be further from the truth. If I have incorrectly assumed your position on that doctrine please accept my apology. If I am correct then you have a lot of company but every day more and more people learn the true identity of Lucifer and it is not Satan
Now while Satan is called the prince of this world Satan only has as much control over you as you allow him to have. James wrote:
Amen to that but he is a deceiver and people dont realize the high level of deception that he has. By law he is always present in your flesh and if you think that is bad try this......he is there by permission of God and is doing what he was designed to do from the beginning just as he did to Eve......to get you to sin. The only way you can overcome him is through Christ Jesus and obedience to Him. You (we) have a chance and a choice as we have before us the way of life or the way of death.
BTW I am still not getting notification of a reply being made. Can that be fixed?
Peace and Blessings
