How do you explain that it's stated God comes to save us??
Other verses in Isaiah proclaim this Holy One is God Himself, so the age old interpretation of this passage doesn't go unsupported.
I believe you answered this.
Also, it's coincidental I'm a Catholic. Protestants, the kind that only carry NT's and are strong literalists and share an equal love for Catholics as you have, believe the same why I do on these matters.
Jesus is our agent for God, our mediator with the Father. But, is that all? God came down and saved us...that's the message of Isaiah 35. Unless we reduce Jesus to merely a pawn of God, and it was really the Father through Him suffering for our sins and all of this, one has to see that there's more to this Jesus.
You have never addressed another issue I brought up, the thread was locked up faster than a new version of Windows, but this Holy One is portrayed as the agent of God in Isaiah and other books, but God later says that He is this King, this Holy One. It's perplexing to you, isn't it. Well, it's a foundation for orthodox Christian beliefs and needs to be addressed by your party.
