So you want me to believe that in less than 2 1/2 hours you checked out the science as well as the math on Setterfield's site? I doubt you read one page on that site, however I will simply repost a comment from another thread:
All I saw was a timeline, and some descriptions below.
So you saw a TV show that demonstrated that "yowm" can be translated several ways, a fact that any good Hebrew Lexicon tells all of us. However, your logic is fallacious since I saw a TV show that proved the Catholic Church is a pagan cult and the Pope is the antichrist. Should I take that TV show as true? How Hebrew and Greek words are translated depends on the context of the sentence, not on your prejudices.
I just don't see an issue here. Why does it matter if things were created in seven "periods of time" rather than seven "earth-days". Could you imagine the chaos if man coexisted with dinosaurs? Man wouldn't have survived! God had all things happen a certain way for a reason. So he saved the best for last. Why God let dinosaurs and reptiles roam the world for 300 million years is a mystery to me.
Your one sentence dismissal of what I posted concerning leviathan and behemouth is less than responsive to the fact that prior to 1841 the word dinosaur did not exist and those who wrote the commentaries interpreting leviathan and behemouth as crocodile and hippo were totally unaware of modern paleontology only demonstrates you cannot carry on an intelligent discussion of science and the Bible. Therefore I will refrain from wasting my time with you.
The ancients found fossils of dinosaurs. I saw a TV show about that, very interesting. I'm not saying that a leviathan wasn't an imaginative reconstruction of some dinosaur, but it makes more sense to assume it implies either a mythological creature, or maybe a crocodile. I want to believe, Aineo, what makes sense. I don't mean to insult you.
