Free For all - Open Discussions and DebatesI need helpSorry, 'always' was the wrong word, I meant that it would have had the written word by the time it was a civilisation. So did Egypt record the Flood? And wouldn't all the Egyptians died in The Flood, like the Chinese and everyone else? I am now doubly confused about the evolution aspect. I thought about it after my last post. For the Ark to feasible there would have to be a very limited number of animals. Although the mention of different types of bird suggest a lot of varied breeds. That the Romans used a wide variety of animals in their arena games suggests a wide variety of evolved creatures from the Ark's few within 2000 years. And then stop evolving at such a rapid rate (hence big changes not being recorded through history) for the next 2000 years. I can appreciate this, as the environment would settle down post Flood. I'm sorry if I have got hung up on this subject, while I do have a lot more Bible questions, but I sit near an evolutionist (?) at work who has told me the bare bones of the theory. He has suggested I read 'The God Delusion' but after reading the first chapter online I find Dawkins to be too emotionally invested in the subject for me to want to read more. I'm also sorry if I come across a bit cold and logical, I'm a computer programmer and a little too analytical at times. But it seems you're saying evolution can happen really quickly after the Flood, but takes millions of years if not. |
