Omya,
When you were faced with the mere fact that Virgin Mary is actually worshipped, you've changed the subject by declaring that you don't agree with christians that do worship her.
What has happened is not that we have denied that some who call themselves Christians DO worship Mary, but that we have defined who the true Christian is.. any person who accepts that Jesus Christ .. God come in the flesh, died and rose again for our sins, and now true believers live in submission to God, in the knowledge that God has provided the only way to know our sins are forgiven and we will spend eternal life with Him.
Those people that webmaster refers to as "nuts" are not Christians and they do worship Mary and those are the people that Muhammed met when He was interacting with people who called themselves Christians at the time the Qur'an was given. True believers would agree wholeheartedly with you and with what the Qur'an states and you believe.
I guess it's like me asking you if you believe as the Sufi sect of Islam believe.. including it's understanding of final unification with God and it's pantheistic tendencies.
Parts of Sufism encourage "saint worship, visiting of tombs, miracles, and adaptation of pre-Islamic and un-Islamic customs"
Within Islam, the faith is not pure, with every Muslim believing the same thing, the same is true of Christianity, though without knowing the true variation of beliefs in Islam (only you probably know that from your intimate interaction with Muslim believers), so also there are many who call themselves Christians and who say they are, but who deny the Lordship of Christ. Christians are warned that in the end times, this will happen more and more.
I'm sorry I have not given bible verses for quotes today, but it's been an exceptionally busy week and I am again about to run out of the house. I can provide all references if you would like. But let me say, such groups as Roman Catholics, High Anglicans (who do worship Mary), Mormons who believe Jesus was A god and they themselves are proceeding to godhood, and Jehovah's witnesses who also believe that Jesus was a god and that doing good works may earn salvation, are examples of those who say they are christians, but which true christians would not agree with.
What about the truth that the Quran mentioned it very clearly, the main christian's faiths, worshipping Jesus, Mary or the trinity?
I think that question is answered above, but just to emphasise Omya, on this issue, true Christians believe in ONE God.. for us, He is expressed in three ways, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, yet ONE GOD. One God, three persons. The worship of Mary or any other thing or person, is condemned by God and true Christians cannot and would not, worship other than only God Himself.
