Kareem,
A couple of things to say here in answer to your posts
We have discussed in detail the contradictions of both the Qur'an the the Bible from each others perspective. We have discussed the difference between the translations of the Bible and why they are translated into different versions and different languages, and the processes gone through in order to ensure that all people can read the Bible in their own language. We have discussed that the Qur'an states that Christians and Jews are "People of the Book" and even should be consulted as you "read the book before thee" Qur'an 10:94 states
If thou wert in doubt as to what We have revealed Unto thee, then ask those who have been reading the Book before thee.
Now, if it is true as the Qur'an states that the Taurah, Zabur and the injil are all from Allah, and were in written manuscript form at the time of the Qur'an's arrival and if the Qur'an is meant to be a confirmation of them, why then is there not harmony but contradiction between them?
Jesus freely quotes from each of the Taurah and Zabur and affirms as history some of the more controversial events such as the Fall and Jonah being in the belly of the whale. Muslims on the other hand, negates all these books, suggests they are NOT the Word of God, (even though the Qur'an says they are) and claim they have been tampered with. If they are the Word of God, should God not be able to preserve His own Word? And if He says to Muslims to consult those books, and the people who believe them and to whom they were given, why do Muslims go against this teaching and try and do the opposite to the commands expressed in the Qur'an?
The only conclusion must be that one or the other is not the Word of God. But this is quite contrary to the very Word of the Qur'an. And please don't tell me that the Bible has been corrupted, as we have been through this in other forums, and please remember, as I said previously, the Qur'an came three hundred years after the Bible accounts as we have them today were finalised into what we call the Bible. Even if you don't accept the letters and other parts of the New Testament, the Taurah, and the Zabur and the Injil (in it's only known source) were in circulation and were read by Muhammed Himself.
Finally, Christians believe something that is very precious.. God didn't just reveal Himself or His Will through His written word.. that very word became flesh and lived amongst us. If the written word describes Truth, Jesus is Truth in the flesh. "In the past, God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets, in many times and in various ways, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son." Hebrews 1:1-2
