Hey there truthseeker1
You said:u r ignoring the fact that Acts doesnt mention Judas HANGED himself, which would be important, how can u say that his guts spilled out without mentioning the fact that he hanged himself.
Its like someone getting shot in the stomach but instead of saying he got shot u say his guts spilled out and he died. But how did his guts spill out ??
HE GOT SHOT IN THE STOMACH!!
u see what im saying here!!
I will do my best to answer you, Acts 1:18 states that {Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.} Whereas 27:3-10 states that{Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself. And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood. And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in. Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day. Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value; And gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord appointed me.}
The verse in Acts 1:18 needs to be correlated with Matthew 27:3-10. The easiest explanation may be found in the principle that, whereas in Acts Luke records all events(such as the acts of Judas), Matthew distinguishes between what Judas did and what the priests did. Just as the priests were the ones who purchased Potter's Field with Judas's money after his death, so Judas may have fallen only in that he was thrown down upon the rock's of that field.
Furthermore you said:About the repenting part, in that case what about Peter he denied Jesus THREE times and Jesus even rebuked him calling him satan at one point, yet u guys think he was the first Pope!!
how could Peter be the first Pope when he denied Jesus 3 times?
Will he enter into the Kingdom of God??
Yes, you must realise that when Peter realised his sin against God he wept bitterly, manifesting his sorrow at having denied his master! He couldn't change what he had just done. Nevertheless, he was sorry and repentant for his wrongdoing.
