Every Muslim knows that there is only one version of the Quran, and that is in Arabic. No other version exist, not in this planet, nor in any other part of the universe.
There is no English Quran, and there is no English translation of the Quran, or in any other language, what so ever. HOWEVER, there are translations of the {meanings} of the Quran. No one can claim that he has the true perfect meanings of the Quran, in its Arabic language. Subsequently, no translation, in any language, can come close to the real Quran. Translators could only translate what they understood from the Quran.
That is why it is much better for non-Arabic Muslims, though its not obligatory, that they learn Arabic.
And I must say that I always feel great respect and admiration towards non-Arabic speaking Muslim reverts, because they embraced Islam even without tasting the sweetness and beauty of the Quran, which is never revealed but to those who understand Arabic. This sweetness and beauty which no translator can ever succeed to translate.
