ArchivedThe Quran - Is pre-ordained sin mans responsibility?Peace to you all, Yes, it would indeed be showing blatant favouritism if not for one very important detail none of us have mentioned in detail yet and that is.. though He came through the jews, as a very specific answer to prophecy and as part of God's purpose and plan, you have chosen to only quote a few of the Matthew verses relating to Jesus talking of that plan and covenant promise. Please take a moment to look at the following and realise that in Islam you take not one or two of the passages of the Qur'an ,but as you have said in one of your posts, you take all the Qur'an as a whole AND the Hadiths to think about and come to a conclusion on a subject. May I just ask that you read these verses as I have typed them, and allow us to show you that the thought that Jesus only came for the Jewish Nation, is taking the Biblical narrative completely out of the context it was delivered in. By selecting a few passages from the Qur'an, leaving all others out and declare that the Qur'an was in Arabic ONLY for the Arabs (Surah 43:3; 6:157,158) and Muhammad was a prophet ONLY for the Arabs. Surely such an approach is not worthy of consideration. Yet many Muslims approach the Bible with exactly this attitude. So please read this next quote with an open mind and I look forward to anyone's responses.
I have a housefull of hungry visitors, so please excuse this as a partial reply to your posts and watch out for more later. I would like to talk more about this very important subject peace to all. [/quote] |
