Knowing the path and walking the path are truly two different things. I know of those who are indeed Sunday only Christians. However, once they have chosen Jesus as their savior, eternal life is guaranteed to them regardless of how much they sin. As long as they ask Jesus for forgiveness and truly repent in their heart He will forgive them. The only unforgivable sin is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. When this world passes away and Jesus ushers in the new one those who truly follow His path will reap great rewards. They will, however, be just as saved as the mass murderer who repents and calls upon Jesus right before his execution.
The occult world is real, but limited in its power. As God Almighty limits what Satan can do so He limits what the occultist can do. There is only one God, every other “god” that people say they are drawing power from is a demon or fallen angel. My Lord grants me the power to heal, cast out demons and speak in different languages. I have not been 100% successful in doing so but my faith is still growing. The Lord Jesus tells us that true faith the size of a mustard seed would allow us to move mountains, uproot trees and raise the dead. I’ve yet to hear of an occultist accomplishing any of these.
The old world was full of occultists. Many pagan gods were worshipped in Canaan, Egypt and Babylon. When the Lord came to give them lesson in humility, I’m sure they prayed their hearts out to their gods to save them. It never worked…ask Pharaoh. Yes his priests turned their staves into snakes, but the Lord turned their rivers to blood, plagued them with darkness, flies, lice, frogs, boils and sores. What did the Egyptian priests do? Whatever it was, it had no effect on the will of God Almighty. He is the power, the Life and the Light. Anyone else is inferior.
Walking around with a superior attitude is wrong. Our Lord Jesus tells us to be humble, gentle and wise. Nobody is perfect and we all sin. Which is why Jesus came to die for us. We are clean because of the blood of Jesus cleanses us of all sin not because we claim to lead a sinless life. No one but Jesus had ever lead a truly sinless life. Do I curse, yes. Do I get drunk occasionally, yes. Do I get lustful feelings for women who are not my wife, yes. I am a sinner, plain and simple. What separates me from you is the blood of Jesus. When you and I go before the Father for judgment after this life is over, all God will see when He looks at me is Jesus. When He looks at you, I hope He will only see Jesus too. If not…lets just say that eternity is a long time.
I do see the world around me. I see it for what it is. Obstructions, distractions and barriers that come between me and a better relationship with Jesus. I know what is coming and I see it unfolding around us as my Lord told me 2000 years ago. There is still time for you. Jesus is waiting for you with open arms. Don’t join us, we are nothing. Join Him, the one who made us, died for us and saved us. Walk in light, I hope to see you with Jesus when this is all over.
