Christian/Muslim ThreadsMuhammad (pbuh) and Islamic PropheciesWhy is Islam the true religion? Islamically we believe that that the religions brought to these nations varied dependendant upon the needs of that nation, respective of time environment and other factors. Islamically we also believe that the vast majority of prophets sent to these nations were persecuted and killed for their teachings, branded liars, magicians etc, as an example we know that the jews did this to many of their prophets. We also believe that many of the religious writings brought to these people may have been corrupted by that hands of the scribes, to what extent we dont know, but there are still prophecies for islam, the muslims and muhammad (sas) in many of the global scriptures. Whereas christianity only boasts prophecy for its own religion from the old testament, islam has MUCH more to claim from that this. We have the old testament, the new testament, the purana, the sama veda, the rig veda, the dasatir, jant avasthe, and there is some debate about whether or not buddha prophecised the coming of the blessed prophet. Then there is the prophecy spoken by Nabi-Allah (saw).
from: http://thetruereligion.org/modules/wfse ... =89&page=9 Then there is the Miracles of the prophet (saw) the splitting of the moon, the water coming from between his fingers for the sahaba to drink and make ablution with on many occasions, the feeding of the army with one pot of lamb during the battle of the trench (Just like jesus (saw) fed the forty thousand, i think it was that battle, someone correct me if im wrong) more miracles but ill continue. The accounts of the battles where the sahaba were outnumbered 50 to one, but still won. One sahabi recalls his account in the battle where he says he swung his sword at the enemy but missed by a clear margin, and his head came clean off, after the battle (which they won), the sahaba said that they saw scorch and burn marks strewn across on the bodys of many of their defeated enemies, when they asked the prophet (saw) about this he told them that the angles had been sent to help them and were striking their enemies with whips of fire. Muhammad (saw) was sent to give the prime example of a way of life for us, in the west here we have the concept that you can say whatever you like about a man, you can cheat on him, you can lie to him against and about him, but you cant lay a finger, thats all you'll get done for, assault. In islam, NEVER, your not aloud to talk about anyone behind their backs. Once a woman came to visit the prophet and she was a little short, Aisha (RA, i think it was her) motioned to the prophet she was a little short, and the prophet (saw) said to her "oh aisha, if one drop of what you have committed was to be dropped into the ocean it would die it black". But islam doesnt just stop there. The Prophet (saw) was doing tawaf around the kaba'a when he stopped to talk to it. He said to the kaba'a, "oh kaba'a oh sweet is your smell how precious you are... But by that Allah, whos dominion is the heavens and the earth, the sanctity of one muslim is greater than your sanctity" but he didnt stop there he went on to tell the kaba'a what this meant, and he said " the sanctity of a muslim is four things, his wealth, his honour, his health" and most importnantly the right of a muslim that is more sacred than the kaba'a itself is that a muslim should only think good about his brother. The prophet saw was humble, and had humility, he was asked by an angel which escorted gabriel, "Do you wish to be a Malik and nabi, or abdi wa rasoolu" (king and a prophet, or servant and messenger) the prophet (saw) looked at gabriel who said "be humble before your lord" the prophet (saw) said "i wish to be abdullahi wa rasoolu". We are proud, we think its below us to sit in tatty bangers, we have to sit in posh extravagant cars, wear flashy clothes. If you have a walking man and a ridining man, obviously the walking man must be the attendant and the riding man must be of a higher class, the prophet (Saw) would never consider it below himself to walk and allow others to ride. Once a man asked the prophet (saw) to sit at the front of his mount. The prophet (saw) said to him, " no it is you who has the greatest rigth to sit at the front of your mount, unless you willing offer that right to someone else" the man replied " Ya Rasool Allah i give that right to you" the prophet (Saw) said "in that case i will sit" and he then sat at the front of the mount both men riding a donkey. WE are arongant, we have pride how many of us would ride a dokeny through the street, the Prophet (saw) would ride an ass, and he would walk. I think it was Abu-bakr, who narates "once i went into the house of the prophet, i looked around and wallahi there was nothing more than a few grains of wheat and some straw in the corner. i was shocked and said to the prophet 'ya rasool Allah, why do you have to live like this when you aare the messenger of allah and the kings of rome and persia swan around in their luxury? pray to allah that he grants us their open treasures for the muslims' the prophet was reclining when i said this and he sat up angrily and said 'oh abu-bakr are you in doubt? their pleasures have been forwarded to them in this life, the best of rewards is with allah and that is in the hereafter". I could go on forver about the manners and charactersitics of the prophet (Saw) and i can if you want me to, just let me know and i'll post more. The last point i'd like to end on is the prophecy of the prophet (Saw) for the future: from: http://thetruereligion.org/modules/wfse ... =89&page=9 Whatever truth i have spoken has come from Allah, andything evil or untrue or inaccurate has come from me and my lack of knowlegde, SubhanAllah only one is perfect. I'm sorry and i appologise in advance if i have offended anyone that was not my intention, if anything is incorrect in what i have said then insha'Allah may someone please correct it. Subhanakallahumma wa bihamdikah, wa ashadu ala ilaha il-Allah. |
