ArchivedDoes Homosexuality Come Up in the Gospels?Lucky Charms: I understand your concern, and I feel your sincerity. There is nothing wrong with you asking a question, if you are willing to hear opinions that are different than your own. Now, the reason homosexuality is viewed as a wicked sin by Bible thumpers is because it is a sin of reprobation ( Romans 1:28, 2 Thessalonians 2:10-11). Reprobation is a sin that a born again believer can not experience ( John 14:16, Ephesians 1:13 ) One doesn't have to be a homosexual to be a reprobate - Judas was a reprobate. People that commit suicide are reprobates, we just don't know about their status until they "off" themselves. Remember when King Saul was rejected by God, and Samuel was told by God to stop praying for him because Saul is rejected; he wasn't talking about rejection from his kingship only, but spiritually. Homosexuality is the tip of the iceburg of reprobation; the door way to the slippery slope. When God says that they have been given over to do what is wrong, he is saying that he has turned his back on them, he is not out of walking distance that they can not catch up to him. They will have to look for him he is no longer looking for them; he is not speaking of homosexuals, when he says that he left 99 sheep to look for one that was lost ( Luke 15:4).
