Christians know the following prophecy well. According to Revelation 13:16-17, the Antichrist will force "everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name."
My mother directed me to read a letter that had been posted in the local newspaper, entitled "Cashless society in the future?" The author - someone whom I suspect to be a believer - talked about the VeriChip, which was created by Applied Digital Solutions. The VC was created "for security, defense, homeland security and secure access applications." Apparently, the chip is implanted in a person's hand. For more information, visit www.adsx.com. Click on Products & Services, then VeriChip. They have 11 centers in the U.S. and seven centers worldwide.
My question is: Do you believe that VeriChip will be the mark that is discussed in Revelation?
Here's an article that discusses the Chip: www.worldnetdaily.com/news/printer-frie ... E_ID=38038

On to a slightly different subject. I've been watching the first two "Left Behind" movies a lot lately, and I have a question. For those of you who haven't seen these movies, go no further.

In "Left Behind," the Antichrist (Nicolae Carpathia, played by a very talented actor named Gordon Currie) has the ability to control non-believers' thoughts and actions, despite the fact that he hasn't become the vessel for Satan. Is this Biblically factual? Will the "vessel" have this ability before Satan takes him over?
