ArchivedA good reason for Christians to vote for Bush...India ?? Why India? India has elections, the people chose their own rulers. China is a threat to Taiwan and Tibet, and China doesn't know if it's political system should collapse in order for economical growth, or if it wants to reign supreme with this outdated repressive regime. And if Taiwan is ever invaded by China, then US troops will make war with China uninviteably... but only if China is the aggresor. Yet the US tries to shun this scenario as much as possible... since China has nuclear capacity and has some reasonable support by it's countrymen and the world. Every country should be judged independently if a war is uninviteable or not, this includes war strategem (you don't just attack countries with nukes), demographic (who are it's neighbours, do they support you?) and political support (how does the world judges that country)... luckely the threat of a possible war is only the case with only a few countries in the danger zone who are provoking other countries with threats and contiously working on programs for mass destruction... ex. nukes. Alot of countries are quite capable of revolutioning their government on their own... in due time countries like Burma, Venezuela, Belaruse,... will have democrasies on their own. It happend to the Philliphines, Congo and Indonesia as well. As did Libya voluntarly dropped it's weapons of mass destruction program's. I prefer peacefull revolutions above war... but i'm not naieve... this is not always and not everywhere possible. The dictators that fall, are dictators that threatend or provoced a country in question with it's destruction. Dictators who only terrorize their own people do this freely without ever being toppled by a foreign government... somewhat hypocrital if you only think that the mission is "down with all dictators" while the US is still a country... and after 9/11 a more fragile country in wich the motto is "down with every warlord who threatens us" this including Saddam... The day 9/11 happend, noone knew who Osama Bin Laden was... yet everyone immedialty assumed "this is Saddam Hussein's work"... for the simple reason we thought this, because we knew then that Saddam Hussein would of been capable of such actions. But once we got to know Osama we found another man that fitteth the bill even more... yet having another public enemy number one, doesn't change the other enemy into a friend. |
