Science, Creation & Evolutionworst censorshipNonetheless, he I think he is correct that 'creation science' is an oxymoron. Here's a quote from this article: Click the link to read more about it. I myself have never been taught about evolution. Our biology courses consisted of learning about human procreation (my favoroute chapter ), the sexual life of plants, some basics about genetics and photosysthesis. There was never any mentioning of evolution; we only examined small parts of nature and avoided the really interesting stuff. I was never indoctrinated: everything I write here is self-taught. No one forced -not even stimulated- me to read books about nature and evolution, yet I am here defending evolution. ------ Tuppence: That article was a good example of what lack of proper education of the Evolution Theory can lead to... Giraffes stretching their necks! About the bear/whale issue: Theory has it that the land-dwelling ancestor of whales was a carnivore that spend a lot of time in the water (and probably ate a lot of fish). Bears are fish-eating carnivores that spend quite some time around the water. It is believed that the whale's ancestor had a similar life style. By writing 'black bear' they seem to suggest that a MODERN species of bear somehow evolved in whales, which is just as likely as giraffes evovling long necks because they had to stretch... Lol, I think this title you posted says it all Tuppence: In Six Days; Why 50 Scientists choose to believe in creation, edited by John F. Ashton, Ph. D. A staggering FIFTY scientists? Then it must be true! |
