Science, Creation & EvolutionSmoking-Gun Evidence of Man-Monkey Kindred: Episode II -TailI'd say that sixth fingers are distinct from human tails because sixth fingers are mere duplications of existing genes and many human tails are not. As an analogy, you can copy and paste blocks of text and end up with two identical paragraphs with only a few clicks and mouse drags. But to get a whole new pargraph, you would need to spend time and effort writing. You may speculate that tails are duplications of vertebrae, but that wouldn't explain why some human tails contain muscle that can expand or contract the tail (see this picture). Such muscles don't exist around the normal human tailbone. Imagine the surprise that would result if some human babies were born with partially-formed elephant trunks, insect antennae, or bird wings. We never see that happening. With special creation, such mutations are no more likely than monkey-like tails, with or without the fall of Adam and Eve. Yet we see monkey-like tails and primate-like fur (as you disclosed earlier), and we don't see trunks, antennae, or wings on human children. |
