Inquisition, persecution and killing of jews and muslims in spain, witch hunts, plunder and genocide in istanbul, genocide of muslims and jews in jerusalem, colonization and genocide of indigenous peoples all over the world, rwanda, iraq.........murders and routing that match that of pagan Chenghis Khan...do these give any idea about hypocrisy?
Was the war between Ali and Aisha a genocide? Far from that. It was a purely political struggle. And it proved one thing. Conditions, and political understanding in people of that era, were not suitable for the type of democracy applied after Mohammad's death, where caliphs was chosen by consent of Muslims. As the Muslims empire grew it was not possible to continue that under those conditions.
As for apostates. Mohammad forced no one to convert. They could pay the jizyah tax. But when a particular people become Muslims, that means they make a treaty or a contract with the Ummah. And when they break the contract, they pay for their treachery. Thats why Abu Bakr fought them.
